Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 4, 2026
DentalPlace is an app for dentists and dental students: clinical cases, a library and an academy (courses, tests, certificates). This policy covers the DentalPlace mobile app, the dentalplace.uz website and the api.dentalplace.uz service. It explains what data we collect, why, who we share it with and how you can control it.
1. Who we are and how to contact us
The service is operated by the DentalPlace team, which is responsible for your data. For any privacy question, request or complaint: azamovhud007@gmail.com. We usually reply within 30 days.
2. What we collect
We only collect what the service needs to work:
- Account data. Your phone number (when you sign in with an SMS code), or the identifier, name and email that Google/Apple provide when you sign in with them.
- Profile. Name, username, role (doctor or student) and, optionally, a photo, a bio, clinic or university, specialization and years of experience.
- Content you post. Clinical cases (text, photos and videos), comments, likes, saved cases and books, and reports you submit.
- Academy. Courses you start, lesson progress and video position, test answers and results, and certificates issued to you.
- Technical data. For sign-in sessions: device name, IP address and browser/app type (user agent). Used to keep your account secure and to fight abuse and spam.
- Data kept only on your phone. Language and theme, book reading position, unfinished test answers. These are not sent to our server.
3. What we do NOT collect
- Location (GPS), contacts, your SMS messages or call history.
- Advertising identifiers. There are no ads in the app.
- Third-party analytics or tracking tools.
- Passwords — we never ask for one: you sign in with an SMS code or with Google/Apple.
4. Permissions
Camera and photo library access is requested only to upload a photo or video you choose, for a case or as your profile picture. The app takes nothing in the background and never touches files you did not select.
5. How we use data
- Creating your account, verifying sign-in and managing sessions.
- Showing your profile, cases and comments to other users.
- Saving course and test progress, issuing certificates and letting anyone verify them by number.
- Moderating content, handling reports, security and abuse prevention.
- Important service messages (for example, that your case was moderated) — inside the app.
6. Patient information
Before posting a case you must make sure the patient cannot be identified: no faces, names, documents, record numbers or other identifying details may be visible, and you must have the patient’s consent. The case author is responsible for this. Content that breaks these rules is hidden or removed by moderation. If you see such content, report it with “Report” in the app or by email.
7. Who can see what
- Public: your profile (name, username, role, photo, bio), your published cases and comments.
- Certificate check: anyone with a certificate number can see the name, course title and date on it.
- Never public: your phone number, email, sessions and test answers.
8. Third-party services
We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. We use these providers to run the service:
- Google Firebase Authentication — verifies sign-in with Google and Apple.
- Apple (Sign in with Apple) — sign-in with your Apple ID.
- Eskiz.uz — sends the SMS verification code to your phone.
- Cloudflare — secure delivery and storage of website and app files (case photos, books, videos; R2).
- Oracle Cloud — hosting for our server and database.
9. Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account at any time inside the app: Profile → Settings → Delete account. For security, your identity is confirmed first with an SMS code or with Google/Apple.
Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. Your account, profile, all your cases (with their photos and videos), saved items, course progress, test results and certificates are deleted. Comments you left on other people’s cases remain, shown as “Deleted user”. Uploaded files are queued for deletion and removed from storage shortly afterwards.
If you cannot sign in to the app, email azamovhud007@gmail.com with the subject “Delete account” and the phone number or email of the account — once we confirm ownership, we delete it within 30 days.
For safety we keep encrypted backups that are rotated regularly; deleted data disappears from them completely when the backup period ends.
10. Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. Sign-in sessions are deleted automatically after they expire. When you delete your account, data is removed as described above.
11. Security
All connections are encrypted with HTTPS. Sign-in tokens are stored in your phone’s secure storage (Keychain/Keystore). Server access is restricted and backups are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
12. Children
DentalPlace is intended for dentists and dental students and is not directed at anyone under 16. If we learn we have received data from such a user, we delete it.
13. Your rights
- See and correct your data on your profile page.
- Delete your account and data (section above).
- Request a copy of your data or object to its processing — via azamovhud007@gmail.com.
14. Changes to this policy
When we update this policy we change the date on this page and announce significant changes inside the app.
